Piezo-electric transducer for sensing cutting forces

A transducer device for the sensing of forces affecting a piece, which is undergoing cutting work in a holder. In order to be able to sense the forces as close to the position of the piece as possible, it is proposed that a piezo-electric sensor plate (16) is fitted between the piece (13) and its supporting surface in the holder.
