<p>Cpds. of formula (I) are new, except for those prepd. by the processes of CH 633942, 629790, 633677 and 630083 (where R is 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or halogen; R1 is 1-3C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or halogen; R2 is H, 1-3C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy or halogen; R3 is H or Me; R4 is H or Me; R5 is 2-5C alkylthioalkyl, 2-5C alkoxyalkyl, 3-6C alkoxyalkoxymethyl, an opt. halo-substd. 2-furyl or 2-tetrahydrofuryl gp., 1,2,4-triazolylmethyl, 1,2-pyrazolylmethyl or CH2OR6, where R6 is a 5- or 6-membered O-contg. heterocycle; with the proviso that R, R1, R2 and R3 contain a total of not more than 8 C atoms). Also claimed is a new process for preparing (I) where R5 is alkoxyalkoxy methyl, 2-tetrahydrofuryloxy methyl or 2-tetrahydropyranyloxymethyl. (I) are systemic fungicides active against a wide range of phytopathogenic fungi, e.g. Phytophthora infestans on tomatoes and Pythium debaryanum on sugar beet.</p> |
