PURPOSE:To supply uniformly and stably a developer by attaching electrostrictive elements to flange members which contact respectively with a magnetic roller and developing sleeve so as to face the same and generating circumferentially progressive oscillations therefrom. CONSTITUTION:The electrostrictive element 11 is disposed in contact with the flange 9 which contacts with the magnet roller 2. The progressive oscillation wave advancing circumferentially around the flange 9 is generated by conducting the electricity of a suitable phase from an AC power source E2 to the element 11 then the magnet roller 2 is rotated. The element 12 is similarly excited by an AC voltage E1 and the sleeve 3 is rotationally driven. The concn. of the developer is thus maintained at a specified and adequate value by stirring and transferring the developer in the above-mentioned manner. The developing (recording) image quality of the copying machine is thus made uniform and non-directional and the formation of a halftone image, etc. is made possible. |
