PURPOSE:To improve excavation performance, by a method wherein an engaging part between a sprocket and a chain is protected by a disc, the front in the direction of rotation of an impeller is open, plural sets of excavating blades are provided, and a chute is located to an inner end. CONSTITUTION:When a bulky material is unloaded through front excavation of a bucket elevator 1, the bulky material, falling in from sides, is prevented from cutting through an engaging part between a chain 2 and a sprocket 6 by means of a disc 7a. The sprocket 6 is reliably protected, and the bulky material is scooped in blades through rotation of an impeller 7 rotated integrally with the sprocket 6. The bulky material is guided to the bucket side through between the ribs of the sprocket 6 from holes formed in the disc 7a by means of a chute 8. This reduces resistance produced due to contact with the bulky material, and enables improvement of excavation performance. |
