PURPOSE:To obtain the titled tape reader having high detection accuracy and high reliability with low power consumption, by using a light emitting diode to a light emitting source. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of light emitting diodes 111 are arrayed in the direction orthogonal to an optical reflective tape 102, i.e., in the width direction of an unmanned truck. A beam splitter 112, a lens system 113 and a photodetector 114 are provided opposite to each diode 111. The light irradiated from the diode 111 is reflected by the splitter 112 and condensed by the lens system 113 to form an image on the tape 102. The light reflected by the tape 102 is condensed by the system 113 and made incident on the photodetector 114 after passing through the splitter 112. |
