PURPOSE:To eliminate resonance and stepout due to interference between coils by consuming counterelectromotive current generated at switching time by Zener diode. CONSTITUTION:A drive circuit is formed of transistors 3-6, a power source 2, and a coil 1. Zener diodes 7, 8 are connected in parallel with transistors 4, 6. The Zener voltages of the diodes are higher than the DC power source voltage. Thus, the counterelectromotive current generated when the coil is excited and switched is consumed by the Zener diode in the circuit without returning to the power source, thereby eliminating the influence to the counterelectromotive current to the power source. Accordingly, even in a stepping motor operating while controlling simultaneously a plurality of coils, a resonance and a stepout due to an interference between the coils can be eliminated. |
