The invention concerns equipment 10 for controlling an air flow, which equipment 10 includes a tube 11 fitted into the main body 15 of the equipment. The tube 11 incorporates a flow opening 13 on its lateral surface 12, preferably a flow slot. The tube 11 is arranged in such a way relative to the main body 15 that an annular space is formed between the lateral surface 12 of tube 11 and the curved lateral surface 15' of the main body 15. In this way, the air is arranged to flow via a flow route O2 which is formed in the said annular space via the flow slot 13 in lateral surface 12 of tube 11, either from inside the tube or via the flow slot 13 into the tube 11. A function device S is coupled to one of the edges E1',E1" of the flow opening 13, whereby the relevant edge is moved on control of the air flow into the tube/or out from the tube. <IMAGE>
