PURPOSE:To enhance the stability in an engine when it is driven at a high speed, by forming an intake and an exhaust valve to be actuated as the valve of rotary type. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder head 5 forms an internal cylindrical bearing surface 11 communicating with a combustion chamber 7 through a valve hole 8, and this bearing surface, arranging a valve shaft 1 simultaneously providing a valve cover 6, rotatably supports the valve shaft 1. The valve shaft 1 forms in its valve part 2 a passage 4 crossing at right angles with the axial line, and rotation of the shaft 1 controls the passage, provided between an intake or an exhaust opening hole 9 and the valve hole 8, to be opened and closed. An intake and an exhaust valve, equipping no reciprocating part, shows high stability in an engine even when it is driven in high speed operation. |
