FLAT TYPE COLOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PURPOSE:To secure a fine beam spot in a horizontal direction as well as to make a landing position in the horizontal direction of a beam incident to a phosphor screen adjustable, by setting up a horizontal landing position adjusting electrode and a main horizontal deflecting electrode either. CONSTITUTION:A fine horizontal deflection is added to each electron beam run past through open holes of electrodes 43-46 of G1-G4 and simultaneously an electrode (FH)47 performing horizontal focusing of these beams and a main deflecting electrode (DH)48 deflecting these beams in the horizontal direction both are set up there. Doing like this, a fine beam spot is secured in the horizontal direction, while landing position adjustment in the horizontal direction of these beams being incident onto a phosphor screen 51 is easily performable.
