PURPOSE:To shorten precooling time of a superconductive field winding by directly cooling the winding with evaporated coolant at precooling time. CONSTITUTION:An outlet 17 for exhausting evaporated coolant having the same diameter as a field winding 2, and a leading tube 18 opened in an exhaust conduit 15 coupled with the outlet 17 and disposed in the bore side from the free surface 11 at the end are provided. A freely controllable valve 19 which is closed at precooling time of the rotor with the outlet 16, and opened at operating time is provided. The evaporated coolant is fed from the field winding 2 through the outlet 17 to the exterior at precooling time, thereby shorting the precooling time of the winding 2. |
