Device which makes it possible to spread any powdery product on the ground over a width of 1 to a plurality of meters and of which the driving energy for the extraction and distribution of the product derives from the partial recovery of the exhaust gases of the engine of the carrier or tractor vehicle, these gases being treated before being used. Use of this system is intended for the spreading of powdery lime or cement fertilizers for the stabilisation of soils (these uses are not limiting). A box mounted on a horizontal axle 5 is equipped in the lower part with a fluidizing conveyor 2, by means of which the gases necessary for the spreading arrive, these gases previously being treated by their passage through the purifying convertor 4. A three-way valve 6 makes it possible to adjust the flow of the gases necessary for operation, the remainder escaping into the atmosphere. <IMAGE>
