PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a structure and to reduce the cost of a heat treatment by subjecting the blank material for the structure to an overaging treatment then to assembling and welding and subjecting only the heat affected zone to Al thermal spraying. CONSTITUTION:The blank material of the austenitic stainless steel structure is subjected to the aging treatment in a specified period in a sensitization temp. region, i.e., the overaging treatment. The treated blank material 1 is formed and assembled and is then welded to form a weld zone 2. The welded structure is subjected to the overaging treatment in the state of the blank material before the assembling by the above-mentioned method and therefore the deformation and thermal stress arising from uneven temp. are prevented. The need for a large-sized heating furnace is eliminated and the cost of the heat treatment is reduced. |
