PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head device whose production cost is low and capacity is stable, by providing a magnetic head substrate and a head case and storing the magnetic head substrate in the head case while controlling positioning of the magnetic head substrate by inner side and bottom faces of the head case. CONSTITUTION:When a head substrate 3 is stored in a lower head case 5, the head substrate 3 is stuck to an inner bottom face 5b of the lower head case 5 while being controlled in the track direction (of an arrow A) and the swing direction (of an arrow B) by both inner side faces 5a of the lower head case 5. An FPC4 is stuck to the inner bottom face 5b of the lower head case 5 similarly, and lines are connected between the FPC4 and the head substrate 3. When an upper head case 6 is adhered onto the lower head case 5 by a resin after this assembling work, projecting parts 6a formed on the upper head case 6 are fitted to notched step parts 5c formed in rear parts of both side walls of the lower head case 5 to position the upper head case 6 to the lower head case 5 in the direction of an arrow E. |
