PURPOSE:To reduce the power comsumption and raise a device in a high speed by controlling the rotation number of a floppy disc whose rotation number can be switched. CONSTITUTION:The rotation number of a floppy disc FD is indicated by a signal A. For example, a low level is indicated; and the rotation number reaches this value and information read/write is possible, a signal E is sent from the floppy disc FD, and this signal is sent to the device body as a signal F to read or write information. If the signal A is changed to the high level, AND between the signal A and a signal B is operated when the signal B which starts read/write of the floppy disc FD is inputted to a timer 1, and AND between a signal C of the AND output and the signal A is operated to obtain a rotation number indicating signal D, and the high level is indicated to the floppy dic FD. A time sufficiently longer than the time spent in completion of read/write is set to the timer 1, and the low level is set automatically when the floppy disc FD is not used for a long period in the high level. |
