The invention is an improvement which simplifies the construction and facilitates the use of priming machines which equip the presses intended for reloading firearm cartridges. It relates very precisely to the assembly comprising a pusher and a cup which collects a cartridge cap (primer) at the output of a magazine, then transfers it right opposite the centre of the base of the cartridge case and forces it home into the latter under the action of the press mechanism. The essential characteristic of the invention is the use of the same assembly, comprising the collection cup and pusher for forcing home, irrespective of the size of the cartridge cap (primer), it being possible for the same sub-assembly to receive at least two sizes of cartridge caps (primers). The result is obtained by the use of a cup of a particular configuration which may either include concentric housings 7 and 8 of different diameters or be equipped with a removable sleeve 9 reducing the internal diameter. <IMAGE>
