摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficient reforming of a hydrocarbon without producing an excessive amount of steam by which the thermal efficiency can be improved and the amount of steam that is a raw material can be supplied with that by heat recovery from a reformed gas and a blow combustion waste gas. SOLUTION: A pair of high-speed changeover type regenerative burner systems capable of alternately carrying out the feed of air for combustion through regenerators to burners and the discharge of a combustion gas from the burners through the regenerators are arranged in a reforming furnace for performing the reforming reaction. Furthermore, the heat quantity for preheating a raw material and heat quantity required for producing the quantity of steam are supplied by heat recovery from a reformed gas or a blow combustion waste gas. The thermal efficiency of a radiation part is further made variable by regulating the quantity of the blow combustion waste gas according to the purpose.
