PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a yellowing-resistant polyamide-based fiber structure without affecting the dyeability by treating a polyamide-based fiber structure with an aqueous medium containing an acid anhydride and a surfactant. SOLUTION: A polyamide-based fiber structure such as nylon 6, wool or silk (e.g. a woven fabric) is treated with an aqueous medium containing an acid anhydride such as acetic anhydride and a surfactant such as an anionic surfactant, e.g. sodium lauryl sulfate until the extent of yellowing with vanillinΔYI attains <5 or the absolute value of the extent of color development by black dyeingΔL attains <=2.
