PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for a foamable polyurethane resin useful in soil stabilization by mixing an organic mixture containing a specific NCO- terminated prepolymer and a viscosity regulator with a specific inorganic mixture containing a catalyst, etc. SOLUTION: An organic polyisocyanate component containing a diphenylmethane diisocyanate dimer compound is reacted with an active hydrogen compound (e.g. a polyester glycol) and a monoalcohol (e.g. an amino alcohol) to produce an NCO-terminated prepolymer. This prepolymer is mixed with a viscosity regulator (e.g.; propylene carbonate). The resultant organic mixture is mixed with an inorganic mixture comprising an aqueous silicate solution and/or aqueous silica sol, a coupling agent (e.g. vinyltriethoxysilane), an amine catalyst (e.g. n-butylamine), and a foaming agent (e.g. water) to obtain the objective composition, which is excellent in penetration into soil, filling properties, flame retardancy, etc. |
