The subject of the present invention, relating to heaters (heat recoverers) with water circulation, is to be applied in open-hearth fireplaces of various types and in some stoves burning wood or other fuels. The apparatus consists of a vertical sheet joined, in one piece, to three manifolds so as to allow a very good distribution of the heat-exchange fluid in a second part forming the rear of the apparatus, in a vertical position, in the form of a double wall which are joined together by several cross-pieces welded perpendicularly and placed in staggered rows or in line, thereby ensuring a definite circulation for the heat-exchange fluid. The inlets and outlets for the fluid circulation are placed on the left-hand and right-hand lower rear parts of the apparatus. In addition, connected in series on a preexisting installation, the recoverer is supplied directly on the general return, more precisely between the four-way slide valve and the boiler and returns on the same return at a few centimetres from the supply point having previously placed a non-return spring valve between these two points, which directly supplies heat into the boiler. This whole apparatus is entirely made of steel. <IMAGE>
