The pot burner comprises a cylindrical circular combustion chamber (10) with openings (60, 62, 64) arranged in the wall for the supply of combustion air, and with an inlet opening into the bottom (32) for the liquid fuel. Concentrically with respect to the combustion chamber (10), there are provided a first basket (28) of a smaller diameter and a second basket (42) of a larger diameter at the circular outlet (18) for the combustion gases. While the first basket is closed by an upper cover wall (26), the second basket (42) is upwardly closed by a ring cover wall situated at a lower level. The second basket (42) is divided by means of a perforated bush (46) into an upper annular chamber (36) and a lower annular chamber (38). The bottom (14) closing downwardly the combustion chamber (10) is covered with a screen (82) preventing cold combustion air flowing in the burner from cooling the bottom (14). |
