The connection point of mutually adjoining band proportions of the band, especially the conveyor band made of PTFE glass fabric, has, on the mutually confronting end faces of the band portions, oppositely directed bevels with oblique faces confronting one another. The oblique faces are connected to one another, preferably by welding, an intermediate layer being arranged between the oblique faces. When such conveyor bands are used, for example in the textile industry, the described design of the connection point avoids imprints on the conveyed material and an accumulation of dust and dirt at the connection point. It is advantageous, furthermore, that, during a cleaning of the band by means of scrapers, a premature wear caused by a constant butting of the scraper against the connection point is avoided.
