PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity for providing a pressure increasing mechanism in a nozzle, by constituting the nozzle such that a valve opening pressure of the fuel injection nozzle is set to the level of a delivery pressure or less of a supply fuel pump while an injection of fuel and is charge are controlled by a plunger controlling its reciprocating motion through a solenoid control valve. CONSTITUTION:This pump nozzle 1 performing the injection of fuel equips a nozzle part 13 having a nozzle valve 31 in a position to an end part 11a in a body 11, pump part 12 having an equally contoured shaft-shaped plunger 21 and a solenoid control valve 14 controlling the plunger 21 to be operated. And the nozzle 1, when a spool 41 is moved upward through a core 45 by electrifying a solenoid coil 46 of the solenoid control valve 14, actuates the nozzle valve 31 so as to be opened by guiding a fuel passage 61 to a plunger chamber 22 and equalizing a pressure of fuel in a fuel chamber 23 to the pressure of fuel in the plunger chamber 22. While the nozzle 1, in which a pressure drop caused when the valve is opened due to a decrease of fuel in the fuel chamber 23 is supplemented by a downward motion of the plunger 21, performs the injection of fuel so as to be continued. |
