<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time piece exhibiting the site time of the user and the site GMT time at the other time. SOLUTION: Each of 24 countries on each GMT time zone is shown on a city dial rotated in clockwise direction at every 12 hour by one turn hour hand mechanism. The cities in time zones 0100 to 1200 and 1300 to 2400 have 12 hours time difference between the cities on the opposite side of the outer and inner city rings. Thus, the site GMT time of a certain city is obtained from the position of the city concerning the time mesh on the outer time dial and the inner time dial on the dial. The quarter dial top and bottom seen through an opening rotates one and a quarter turns at every 6 hours to show the time range of the day, which drives the city dial and the two quarter dials.</p> |
