PURPOSE:To obtain a drive device which can rotate at a high speed with good rising by supporting a rotary member to the periphery of a stationary shaft, and providing driving means for driving the member displaced in a direction for reducing the contacting presure of the member to the support. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical sleeve 3 is mounted through ultrafine gap E on the periphery of a columnar stationary shaft 21, a nondrive unit 7 is mounted, and supported onto the shaft 21 by a through bearing member 8. A magnet 5 is mounted on the periphery of the sleeve 3 to form driving means oppositely to a stator 4. In this case, the longitudinal central position of the stator 4 is displaced at a distance (d) in the direction of the member 8 with respect to the longitudinal central position of the magnet 5. Thus, when the stator 4 is energized, force of the direction for reducing the contacting pressure of the member 8 is operated to rotatably drive. Thus, stable high speed rotation can be rapidly obtained. |
