For an inside to outside dust collector, a self tensioning device 110 for bag filters for connecting the upper end of a fabric sleeve filter 102 to an overhead support 100. The device 110 includes a modified double draw bar spring assembly 110 interposed between the overhead support 100 of the baghouse and the upper end of the bag filter 102. Prior to installation, the spring 112 is compressed and captured by a retainer member. After installation, the retainer member 130 may be removed and the spring 112 flexed to appropriately tension the filter sleeve 102 and to permit controlled flexure during cycling from a filtering to a cleaning operation. |
