A top entry valve includes a valve body 1 formed with an open top valve chest 2, a ball closure 3 mounted in the valve chest, a seat ring 11 at the low-pressure side, and a seat ring assembly 12 comprising another seat ring 13, a belleville spring 14 and a seat ring holder 15 at the high-pressure side. The seat ring assembly 12 can be easily assembled with and disassembled from the valve chest 2 through the open top with the aid of a clamp which compresses the belleville spring 14, the spring being allowed to expand after mounting in the chest.
