PURPOSE:To provide a ventilator having a high efficiency of cleaning thereof by a method wherein a switch for closing an electrical energizing line for the motor of a blower is provided which is turned on under the installed condition of a hood front plate and at the same time turned off under the removed condition of the hood front plate. CONSTITUTION:The main body 1 of a hood having a blower 2 is provided with the first switch 18 which is turned on or off under the opening or closing of a hood front plate 11 and the second switch 20 which is turned on or off under the installation or removal of the hood front plate. In case that the front plate 11 is to be removed in order to clean the interior of the main body 1, a screw 16 is removed from a side plate 11a, the lever 15 of a lock mechanism 14 is separated, the front plate 11 is lifted upward to cause a supporting piece 12 to be spaced away from the supporting part 8 of a sopporting member 6. At this time, although the operating piece 13 of the front plate 11 is moved away from an operating member 19 to cause a switch 18 to be turned on, the front plate 11 is removed from a supporting plate member 6, so that the switch 20 is automatically turnd off by an operating part 9 to cause the pressing pressure of an operating member 21 to be released and then the energizing line for the motor 4 of the ventilator fan 2 is turned off. Thus, it is not necessary to keep the plug 22a of a code line 22 pulled off a power supply receptacle, resulting in that an efficient cleaning operation can be assured. |
