<p>An ambidextrous magazine latch arrangement for a pistol (10) in which a hand-operable cross lever (19) is positioned by resilient means (31) against a frame portion of the pistol handle (14) with lever ends protruding on either side of the handle. The lever (19) has a latch protrusion (27) which protrudes into the magazine (18) to hold the magazine. By applying hand pressure to either lever end the lever (19) twists against the resilient means (31) to withdraw the latch protrusion (27) out of the magazine to release the magazine.</p> |
