The ambivalent dice can also contain within its cavity a non-spherical rolling body whose changes of position about its own axis impart the alternative playing signals in each case. The randomness of these playing signals may be non-uniform. The inner rolling body may be formed in numerous alternative designs, as a standing body with alternating standing positions or as a floating body with alternating floating positions. The simplest alternative is an auxiliary dice with three light-coloured and three dark-coloured outer surfaces.
