<p>Process comprises (a) milling wood residues, shavings, sawdust, etc. to a particle size of 2 mm max.; (b) mixing the dry powder in a rotary drum with soap-forming ingredients (water sulphuric acid and triethanolamine) at 300 rpm, for 30-90 mins., (c) cooling the mixt. to ambient tmep. over 4-8 hrs., bringing about the chemical reaction giving rise to the soap, during which the wood cellulose becomes part of the soap; and (d) drying in a rotary drum at 25-30 deg.C for 30-120 mins. to obtain a soap granulate with pH around 7.</p> |
