PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of air discharged from the inside of the passenger's compartment in a vehicle to enhance the efficiency of heating and to prevent a window from being collecting moisture, by introducing air of the passenger's compartment together with the outside air. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of engine cooling water which is detected by a temperature detecting sensor 15 is below a predetermined minimum temperature, an inside and outside air change-over damper 5 is controlled by a control circuit, a link mechanism, etc. to come to a stop at a position 5c while when it is above a predetermined maximum temperature, the damper 5 is controlled to come to a stop at a position 5b. Further, when the temperature of cooling water is between the predetermined minimum and maximum temperatures, the damper is controlled by means of the control circuit, the link mechanism, etc. to come to a stop at a position between the positions 5c, 5b, which is proportional to the difference between the predetermined maximum and minimum temperatures and the difference between the temperature of engine cooling water and the minimum temperature. With this arrangement the discharge of air from the passenger's compartment may be adjusted in accordance with the temperature of engine cooling water thereby it is possible to enhance the efficiency of heating and to prevent a window from collecting moisture. |
