The mattress combination is esp. for use on reclining or seating furniture e.g. garden seats. It comprises an under-mattress (1) as base and a cover (2) releasably securable (e.g. 3) and contg. a filling in an outer envelope both consisting of material which permits air and water circulation to enable washing and drying. - The filling pref. consists of a thermally bonded non-sprayed coarse fibre web with limited number of bonds as compared with a conventional non-woven felt structure, the fibres being non-absorbent to moisture, e.g. polyester. The cover may be securable by tying straps (3), burr straps, press studs, sliding clasp fasteners etc.
