<p>The zinc salt of 5-oxo pyrrolidine 2-carboxylic acid of formula (I) is made by reaction of a zinc salt, oxide or hydroxide with 5-oxo pyrrolidine 2-carboxylic acid or L-pyroglutamic acid, or soluble salts of the acids. Reaction is in polar inert solvent at ambient temp., and the prod. is ppted. with acetone at -20 deg.C, filtered off and dried under reduced pressure.</p> |
