PURPOSE:To contrive stabilization of repeated use and enhancement of reliability, by constituting an ink carrier of a part served to recording a plurality of times and a part served to recording a single time. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon is provided with an ink region 301 for one-time transfer and an ink region 302 for multiple-time transfer. For example, when using a A4 size area as a unit, a mark such as a horizontal bar is written into the region 301 for each time of recording in the A4 size area. Since the number of times the ink of the region 302 can be used is previously known, the number of such marks is sensed, and when the number exceeds a prescribed value, a control is performed for using the next region. |
