PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a driving circuit while protecting circuits of a thermal print head, by building up an input protection resistance of a driving semiconductor integrated circuit of a heating resistor with a resistor identical to the heating resistor simultaneously with the heating resistor on a substrate in which the heating resistor of the thermal print head will be formed. CONSTITUTION:A resistor 26 constituting an input protection resistance of a driving semiconductor integrated circuit 24 is formed on the top of a substrate 20 of a thermal print head together with a heating resistor 22. This resistor 26 made up a resistor the same as the heating resistor 22 and formed simultaneously with the formation process of the heating resistor 22. Then, after the formation of the resistors 22 and 26, the driving semiconductor integrated circuit 24 is fastened on the surface of the substrate 20 and connected to a specified point with a conductive wire 34. Then, the resistor 26 is connected to a strobe input section of an input circuit. |
