<p>New 2-alkylsulphonylethyl-1,4-diaminobenzenes having the formula (I) wherein R is CH3 or C2H5 and the salts thereof, a method for the preparation of said compounds as well as means for dyeing human hair by oxidation, based on a development substance-coupling substance combination containing a compound of formula (I) as developer. The easily water-soluble developer substances (I) in combination with coupler substances resorcine, 4-chlororesorcine, 4,6-dichlororesorcine, 4-hydroxy-1,2-methylenedioxybenzene and 4-amino-1,2-methylenedioxybenzene provide a fair to brown coloration of a very natural aspect.</p> |
