Digital device for filtering and subsampling two colour difference signals.

Two sets of shift registers receive respectively a set of values of a pair of colour difference signals at a sampling frequency, and output in parallel a fixed number of these values. A multiplexer transmits the values alternately and from these, is calculated, at the sampling frequency an output according to a known low-pass filter function. The band is less than equal to the sampling frequency. The outputs thus calculated are alternately two different sub-sampled colour difference signals.
