PURPOSE:To assure highly accuratge curved-face, in polishing or curved-face such as an optical lens, by tracing a rotary machining tool after a work in the direction crossing perpendicularly against the rotary shaft of machining tool. CONSTITUTION:When polishing a specific curved-face, a work 6 is moved in the directions (g), (h) to produce the desired curved-face on the basis of the radius of rotary motion of high speed rotary machining tools 4, 5 thus to operate the motion control data. Then the work 6 is fixed to a rotary spindle 10 to set the rotary speed, the cutting depth of the tools 4, 5, the polishing speed, the rolling and the speed in the direction (f), etc. thus to start machining. Here, the tool 4 is rolled by a motor 9 in the direction (f) to prevent the shifted abrasion thus to control the operation of a slide table 12 in two directions crossing perpendicularly while feeding back the data in the directions (g), (h) from laser length measuring devices 15, 16 and to perform precise machining. |
