PURPOSE:To measure the contact pressure of a brush quantitatively and readily, by providing a strain gage converter, which can be inserted between the brush and a surface, to which the brush is contacted, and measuring the brush pressure based on the change in output of said strain gage converter. CONSTITUTION:A strain gage converter 11 is inserted between a brush 9 of a rotary electric product and a surface 10, to which the brush is contacted. After the insertion of the strain gage converter 11 in this way, it is set at a proper position by an operating rod 7. The change in output of the strain gage converter 11 is measured. By using such a brush-pressure measuring method, the brush pressure can be measured with the brush being mounted on the rotary electric product. Therefore, the pressure can be measued quantitatively and readily. |
