PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molded article having excellent compression strength and adhesivity, by impregnating aramid fibers with a resin composition curable by the irradiation with ionizing radiation and heating, irradiating the impregnated fibers with ionizing radiation, integrating in an unvulcanized rubber, and forming and vulcanizing the rubber. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by mixing (A) 10-60wt% resin composition curable by the irradiation with ionizing radiation, e.g. a (meth)acrylate, unsaturated polyester, etc. having >=2 (meth)acryloyl groups in one molecule and (B) a resin composition compatible with the component A and curable by heating, e.g. epoxy resin, urethane resin, etc., or (C) a resin composition curable either by the irradiation with ionizing radiation or by heating, is incorporated with an amine as a thermal curing agent, and the mixture is impregnated in aramid fibers. The impregnated product is irradiated with ionizing radiation to obtain a B-stage resin, which is integrated in an unvulcanized rubber, and molded. The rubber is bonded to the resin composition impregnated in aramid fibers by the heat of vulcanization to obtain the objective molded article. |
