<p>PURPOSE:To reduce cost by re-utilizing adipic acid, in the desulfurization of waste gas by adding adipic acid to an absorbing solution, by recovering adipic acid by evaporating the mother solution, which is obtained by the solid-liquid separation of the absorbing solution after oxidation, to dryness. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous adipic acid solution is supplied to the absorbing solution of CaCO3 in a recirculation tank 3 from an adipic acid tank 8 and brought into contact with exhaust gas in a desulfurization tower 1 to absorb and remove SOX in waste gas. The absorbing solution reacted with SOX is sent to an oxidizing tower 12 and formed CaSO3 is oxidized by air to be converted to gypsum. The mother solution, after gypsum is recovered in a solid-liquid separation apparatus 17, is sent to a Cl-removal tank 20. The mother solution, from which Cl was removed, is returned to the adipic acid tank 8 and a part thereof is sprayed from the jet nozzle 24 of an air stream dryer 23. The mother solution is evaporated to dryness by the heat of the waste gas supplied from waste gas duct 2 through a duct 24 to recover adipic acid as a powder. This powder is again supplied to the adipic acid tank 8 from a transfer line 28.</p> |
