This invention relates to a method and a diminution device of the strength structures vibrations caused by the seismic movements or high winds. The invention may be applied to all buildings made of frame or reinforced concrete diaphragm, of metal and stiff reinforcement concrete, such as: living building, industrial buildings, nuclear plants, bridges, offshore drilling platforms, chimneys, television towers, water towers etc. The method comprises a calculation stage of the deformations and efforts state of the strength structure and evaluates the own frequencies and periods. The vibrations diminution devices number is evaluated to each level take account the floor surface and weight. The suspended metal bodies overall weight must represent 0.25 percent of floor weight and suspended bodies own frequency has to be equal to the first own strength structure frequency. The deformations and efforts state will be evaluated again. By iterative calculations it dimensions again the suspended bodies which will be placed on horizontal strength elements. The suspended bodies will be placed on the horizontal strength elements. The diminution device comprises a case (6) and a gravitational pendulum made of a metal body (4) that is suspended to the case (6) by a rod (5). An elastic assembly (B) is fixed on the metal body (4) and presses on the inner surface of case (6).
