The device has a body on which the hooks are pivotably located, and the chains or wires (20,21,22,24,25), apart from connecting the hooks to the lifting component, turn them around their pivoting axes in the body. This causes a load borne by the device to be released when the hooks are lowered, and the strain is removed from the chains or wires. When the device is under load the hooks are prevented from pivoting by a latch (22) fixed to a bracket (24). |
