PURPOSE:The titled red pigment, obtained by coupling a diazotized compound of a specific amine and a diazotized compound of p-toluidine-m-sulfonic acid together with a coupling agent, and having improved water and solvent resistance without yellowish hue. CONSTITUTION:A red pigment for process ink obtained by coupling (A) a diazotized compound of an amine expressed by the formula (X is acylamino, alkoxyl or nitro; Y is COOH or nitro; Z is CH3 or H), e.g. 4-methoxyaniline-2-sulfonic acid, and (B) a diazotized compound of p-toluidine-m-sulfonic acid, preferably at 0.1-25:99.9-75 molar ratio between the components (A) and (B) with (C) 2- hydroxynaphthalene-3-carboxylic acid, and converting the resultant coupling product into a lake. |
