PURPOSE:To detect the deterioration in removal capacity beforehand, by using an ion having affinity weaker than that of an objective impurity ion as an indicator and analyzing the breaking behavior of said ion. CONSTITUTION:The ion A contained in water 2 to be treated is adsorbed and removed in a desalting device 1 but, in order to detect the break to the ion A beforehand, an ion B weaker than the ion A in the affinity to the ion exchange substance in the desalting device 1 is added to the water 2 to be treated from a sampling ion water tank 4 by an injection pump 3. Then, the concns. of the ion B at the inlet and outlet parts of the desalting device 1 are measured by sampling ion densitometers 5, 6 and the measured values are converted to a concn. ratio by a comparing circuit 7 while said concn. ratio is recorded by a recorder 8. As mentioned above, by always monitoring the removal capacity of the ion adsorbing apparatus, the deterioration in removal capacity can be detected beforehand. |
