PURPOSE:To achieve high luminance as well as improved adhesive strength and conductivity by using phosphor particles with relatively large particle diameter to form a phosphor layer facing the negative electrode and using phosphor particles with relatively small particle diameter to form a phosphor layer touching the foundation electrode. CONSTITUTION:After a feed wiring 2 is formed on a plate glass 1 by screen printing using a silver paste, an insulating layer 3 principally composed of PbO is formed by screen printing in order to electrically insulate the wiring 2 from a foundation electrode 5. Then, the foundation electrode 5 made of flake graphite is formed which touches the wiring 2 through a through hole 4. Next, a blue- color-emitting phosphor layer 6 consisting of ZnS:Ag, Cl particles with a mean particle diameter of 3-4mum is printed on the electrode 5 in an average thickness of 10-15mum. After that, a blue-color-emitting phosphor layer 7 consisting of ZnS: Ag, Cl particles with a mean particle diameter of 8-9mum is printed on the layer 6 in an average thickness of 10-20mum, thereby forming a desired blue-color- emitting phosphor layer. |
