The reinforcement comprises two uprights and a lintel and is constituted by open sections (5) each having a web plate (6) edged by a flange (71). It is fixed to a wall (M) by the section open side. A lining is connected on the wall surface. A reinforcing leg (16) has two different length branches forming an obtuse angle, the fixing leg (18) being fixed to the wall and the support leg (19) is freely supported against the web plate. An angled wedge (17) is added to the web plate and defines a sliding ramp (23) which engages the reinforcing leg support branch.
