PURPOSE:To obtain a piezoelectric porcelain resonator with miniaturization and excellent mass-productivity by providing a tilted face tilted in a direction where the thickness is decreased to one side of a piezoelectric porcelain element. CONSTITUTION:The tilted face 107 tilted in a direction whether the thickness is decreased to at least one side 101 in four sides 101-104 of the piezoelectric porcelain element 1. The acoustic impedance at an end viewed from a wave source side reaches a value different from the opened end by said tilted face 107, the reflectance is deviated from the unity and the interferance between exciting electrodes 2, 3 and the side 101 is decreased remarkably. Thus, the constitution is substantially similar to that where the oscillating electrodes 2, 3 are formed to the piezoelectric procelain element 1 having an infinite impedance to a mechanical vibrating wave and the effect of the shape of the piezoelectric porcelain element becomes negligibly small. |
