PURPOSE:To feed a paper smoothly and accurately while to reduce abrasion of brake board by separating the brake board from a paper feed roller with such timing as the trailing edge of the paper will pass through a paper feed roller and releasing the brake. CONSTITUTION:Upon function of paper feed rollers 5, 6, paper is fed sequentially from a paper feed cassette 4. During the interval when the leading edge of single paper is fed to a feed roller 1, the brake board 8 is pressure contacted through a spring 11 against the paper feed roller 5 thus to prevent double feeding. Upon rotation of feed roller 1, a switch 14 is turned on through rolling of a lower paper guide 3 thus to provide a brake release signal to a solenoid 12. Since the paper is not subjected to the influence of the brake board 8, it can be fed smoothly and accurately resulting in reduction of abrasion of the brake board 8. |
