PURPOSE:To make a traveller run stably for a long period, to prevent frequent occurrence of end breakage, to suppress occurrence of fluff, to prolong extremely life of a ring, by forming a boride layer on the surface of the ring for spinning machine by CVD method or by PVD method. CONSTITUTION:The boride layer 2 such as TiB2, ZrB2, MoB2, WB2, TaB2, etc. is formed by CVD method or by PVD method on the surface, which is at least brought into contact with a traveller, of the ring 3 for spinning machine made of carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, sintered steel, etc. |
